Thank you for attending the BC Book Publishing Conference and Awards Night

May 24th, 2024
Close to 100 BC publishing folk gathered in person on May 8, 2024, to meet colleagues and attend sessions on sought-after topics like AI in publishing, trauma-informed approaches to editorial and marketing, strengthened author/illustrator relationships, plus an update on the work being done on a revised edition of Elements of Indigenous Style as part of the Greg Younging Conversation. Click here for the conference program and session details.

In particular, we were delighted to see approximately 30 people attending our New to Publishing Roundtable. That means that nearly a third of the attendees at the conference have joined the industry in the last 5 years: a tremendous sign of vibrancy and growth within our industry!

The day was topped off by our Awards Reception as we celebrated recipients Medicine Wheel Publishing and Marisa Alps with food, drink, and even some end-of-the-night dancing.

Thanks for supporting Books BC!
