Through extensive research and by unearthing archival photographs, their book Vancouver Noir: 1930-1960 charts an age of rising moral panics: smuggling rings, police corruption, crime waves, the sex trade, and the glamourization of sex, providing a fascinating look at the ways in which this city was made and unmade.
