Random House of Canada is seeking an assistant to the group’s new imprint who will work closely with the Publisher on a variety of tasks associated with the acquisition and publication of titles; and also to meet the organizational, editorial and clerical needs of the Publisher on a daily basis.

The position requires a diplomatic, energetic person with a basic understanding of the editorial, marketing and publishing process. This position is located in Vancouver, British Columbia and will be a 3 day a week position, which will increase to 5 days within a year or possibly sooner. The applicant will work with the publisher to build the new imprint and its roster of authors as well as profile.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree, experience and/or education in editing and proofreading, and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
