View the BC Bestseller List on Read Local BC

The BC Bestseller List is compiled using sales data from more than 80 independent bookstores in BC, which is provided to the Books BC by TBM BookManager.

Criteria:

Books published in British Columbia are eligible to be included in the weekly BC Bestseller List. Pre-pub titles are eligible. Map books with substantial text are eligible. Books with ads, crossword books, and calendars are not eligible.

Revised and updated books are eligible, paperback reprints are ineligible. Revised and updated books must have:

  • either substantial changes to at least 25% of the original written content; and/or
  • at least 25% new written content; and/or
  • substantial changes to the illustrations, other than the cover.

Books on the BC Bestseller List may remain on the list for either a maximum of 52 consecutive weeks or one year since publication.
